Waikato U17 Girls claim silver at 2025 IPC

Congratulations to our Under 17 Girls’ team who won silver medals at the Inter Provincial Championships over the long weekend. This was Waikato’s first medal in this age group since VNZ began running the National IPC event.

In the final, the team worked hard against a consistent Harbour team. The first set was a battle with Harbour getting across the line 26-24. A similarly close third set also went Harbour’s way to earn the gold medal. As was the case throughout the event, our team gave it everything they had and played good, positive volleyball right until the final point.

Special congratulations must go to Sian Beare and Malia Credo who earned selection in the tournament team. As always, this is not only a reflection of their excellent skill level, but also of the efforts of those around them.
