There are a number of Masters* age volleyball tournaments around New Zealand every year. Waikato-based teams regularly participate in the NZ Masters Games Volleyball Competition held every second year in Wanganui (next in February 2009), and in the South Pacific Masters Games Volleyball, held every second year in Hamilton (next in February 2008). North Island masters volleyball tournaments also take place in Auckland, Hawkes Bay,Taranaki, Wanganui and Wellington.
Local players also participate regularly in NZ Masters Volleyball teams playing in the Australasian Masters Volleyball Championships (next in Taupo, NZ at Easter 2008 -see advertisement), and in the World Masters Games (next in Sydney in 2009).

* In New Zealand, Masters competitions generally are for women 25 and over, and men 30 and over, although this may vary from competition to competition. Overseas competitions generally have different competitions for different age-groups and for each gender.
